ANSAN YOUTH GLOBAL LEADERS CLUB

This month, I'd like to introduce 'Ansan Tando sea route'!!!!! Ansan Tando Port is one of Ansan's sunset attractions.  There is a Tando sea route, which is designed to go to the nearby Nu-ea island.        The Tando sea route can be crossed four times a day when there is a low tide. It takes about 15 minutes on foot to Nu-ea Island, and as you cross the sea road, you can see various marine animals living on the tidal flat and seagulls flying around. Especially, the wind generators that were built along the Tando sea route look like a picture. In addition, if you climb the observatory on Nu-ea Island,  you can see a wide tidal flat and a beautiful Tando port. If you come to Ansan, I highly recommend you to visit the Tando port. The sunset and the calm sound of the sea here will be a good memory for you.

       This time, I went to the  Ansan Ocean Scent Arboretum, Daebudo. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. There is a whale garden where a pinocchio is sitting on the bench before going in the arboretum. At first, I wondered why there was a pinocchio but later found out that the garden's concept is about the pinocchio. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of it.  So I'll attach the picture that I took of the sign there This is how it looks like on the outside     When you go inside, you'll be able to find the Wall Fountain. It is very well decorated. In front of the fountain, there is a fun and simple activity. It is called, 'Is your belly fat okay?' You just have to get through the two poles.  June 18th(Saturday)  Sihwa Narae Tidal Power Park Today, I like to introduce one of the most beautiful tourist spots in Ansan.  It's Sihwa Narae Tidal Power Park. It's in the middle of the Sihwa Seawall which is 11.2km long!  And next to the park  is the Sihwa Lake Tidal Power Station, the only one in Korea.  It means Ansan has a very important place. And I went there by bicycle because I love riding! That's me. It took almost 2 hours from my home! I was so tired and wanted to rest.  But I kept going to introduce beautiful sights in Ansan. After I arrived there, I was so surprised  by the beautiful sea! And I took the best scene today! The seagull is kissing the Sun! Isn't this beautiful?  This scene is the most beautiful scene this year! I was moved.  I was very lucky that day. the sky, the sea, the Sun, the seagull. Everything is perfect!     Today, I went to Ansancheon stream. I would like to introduce it to you, too. Ansancheon stream is in Gojan-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si. It is really near from my house. This is the scenery of Ansancheon that I can see at home.  Ansancheon is a place for  Chinese Egrets. Chinese Egrets are natural monuments. They are also birds of Ansan. I think it's really amazing that Chinese Egrets live in Ansan. It's good that I can see the wonderful Chinese Egrets when I want to. I couldn't see many Chinese Egrets today, but I was glad that I found pictures of them. First one is taken by me, and the others are pictures that I found on the Internet. Chinese Egrets looked reallly pretty. I think Ansan should protect the environment to protect the wonderful Chinese Egrets.  Ansancheon is also good for bike-riding, too. When you ride along Ansancheon, you can get to Sihwaho or Hwaseong-si. It is fun to ride bike to other cities. There are lots of people enjoying bike rid...

 

  Today ,I went to Sase Chungryeolmun in Ansan. Sasechungnyeolmun is located in Wa-dong, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do. Sasechungryeolmun is a gate built by the Joseon Dynasty to commemorate General Kim Yeo-mul and his descendants, who were active in the Imjin War, when Japan invaded Joseon.  And next to it is a tomb that nurtures the spirit of General Kim Yeo-mul.  The current gate was repaired at the same time as it was designated as a cultural property of Gyeonggi-do in 1983.  When I went to the place where there was Sasechungryeolmun, it was a pity that there was only one door.    But it was quiet and nice because the surrounding area was made into a park.  Another disappointment was that we couldn't go inside the door at the moment.  If you go inside, it is said that the achievements of Kim Yeo-mul and his descendants are written.  If there is a day when I visit again later, I want to go inside.        I went to the Seongho Museum where I could learn a lot about Seongho Yi-Ik and his family. The B1 floor has experience exhibition hall where you can experience fun activities related to Seongho Yi-Ik or watch videos about Seongho Yi-Ik. And where I am mainly going to introduce you about is the second floor. But before that, I would like to indtroduce Seongho Yi-Ik to you.       Seongho Yi-Ik (1681~1763) was born in Usan, Pyeongando, his father's place of exile. When his father passed away, he moved to Ansan with his mother, where their ancestorial burial ground was located. He learnt his studies by his secondest older brother, Lee-Jam and didn't set a foot in politics in his whole live. Instead, he became the great scholar of the late Joseon Dynasty known for his great work, Silhak(Factionalism).
