Byeolmangseoung & Tomb of Yi Ik
I will introduce Byeolmangseoung Fortress Site and Tomb of Yi Ik in Ansan-si.
First, Byeolmangseoung Fortress Site is located Choji-dong, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do.
It is Gyeounggi-do's monument No.73.
Early Joseon Dynasty, To defend the Japanese enemies
invading the coast through the nam yang bay,
connect two shallow peaks together in the beach
and to build the stone.
Its size was recorded 1040m circumference, 1.2~2.1m high.
But It was destroyed during Korean war.
So current size is 225m long, 1,45m high.
Next, Tomb of Yi IK is located Il-dong, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do.
It is Gyeounggi-do's monument No.40.
I will introduce the main person, Seong Ho Yi Ik of this place.
He was born to Unsan in Pyeongan-do.
Late Joseon, he is Silhak scholar who wrote 성호사설, 곽우록, 이자수어.
The tombstone size is 146cm long, 57cm width, 26cm thickness,
its material is obsidian.
'성호선생이공휘익지묘 증정부인고려신씨부좌증정부인사천목씨부우' is written on the front.
There are stairs on the way to the tombstone.
and there is shrine on the right.
