Promoting Ansan International Street Festival (Kim Chae Woo)
On May 5, 2022, the Ansan International Street Festival, which had been canceled, postponed, or held online due to the Covid19 virus, was held properly for the first time in three years.
The Ansan International Street Festival, which celebrated its 18th anniversary this year, is one of the biggest festivals in Ansan that has been held every May since 2005.
It was my first time attending this street festival held recently, and it was a meaningful experience with a lot of things to see and eat.
Let's learn more about the Ansan International Street Festival from now on.
This year's Street Festival, which was held for three days from May 5th to May 8th, was held at Ansan Culture Plaza.
The opening ceremony of the festival was held on May 6, and the opening programs included Ambiguous Dance Company's 'When Forsythia Dancing', Yeonhee Company Yuhui's 'Yuhui Nori', and the Yedae Folklore Research Society's 'Bongsan Mask Dance'.

There were various experience booths around such as beads making, wallet making and so on.
I visited the Street Festival on May 8, the day of the closing ceremony.
On that day, there was a unique stage performed by 15 teams of Ansan citizens, called Citizen Version 6.0.
One of the teams of citizens version 6.0 was 'Red Motion', a dance club at my school. The stage of 'Red Motion' was the most impressive. After the performance was over, I was very excited. I was so proud of that Red Motion, which performed the perfect stage that day, was our school club.
Then I saw an amazing performance called the Poloseum. The poloseum is said to be a work that expresses a series of events that occur in the process of standing poles with the movements of a clown. This performance, filled with funny gestures of the performers and wonderful movements that I had never seen before, was the second most impressive stage.
Numerous food and sales people were filling the streets around.
Among them, I tried the Turkish ice cream, which was extremely expensive price of 4,000 won per ice cream. However, the ice cream tasted good and I enjoyed it very much.
I bought a few things from the sale people.
A hairpin was 1,000 won, a pinwheel was 5,000 won, and a balloon with a light bulb was 15,000 won.
Relatively expensive pinwheels and balloons with light bulbs were easily cut for about 1,000 won.
Let's save some money with this in mind
Finally, I went to see the fireworks, which was the highlight of the day.
The fireworks to signal the end of the Ansan International Street Festival was presented with an organization called Art Fireworks Gallery. It was a pity that I could not see the performance of the Art Fireworks Gallery because it was blocked from view by the people gathered in front of me, but the fireworks shooting up high in the sky shone brightly in front of my eyes. My heart was beating louder and louder, and a sense of bliss was boiling in my body. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
As the above, we looked into about the Ansan International Street Festival held this year.
This street festival was not boring for a moment, and I think I will never forget it.
If you happen to visit Ansan in the future, be sure to visit the Street Festival.
It will definitely be a meaningful experience.
Let me finish this introduction.
Thank You.
